Our facility

The SCOTTISH AMERICAN CENTER has 2 functional spaces in its initial form:

NOTE: Since we have moved on July 1st, our office layout has changed. We are in the process of updating this page.

An office

With knowledgable staff members, books, tapes/CD's, videos, other references - and more ...  It is a personal assistance and reference source for anyone with an interest in almost anything of a Scottish nature.  If staff or materials present cannot provide sufficient information for the subject of your interest, we will most likely be able to refer you to a source that can.

The office is open when staff volunteers are available; occasionally, we aren't here as scheduled, so please call first.  Our recently expanded hours are: Weds. 3 pm - 8 pm, Thurs. 6 pm - 8 pm, Fri. 3 pm to 6 pm., Sat. Noon to 3 pm.

Staff are also present at other variable times on weekdays and weekends, and we will also gladly make appointments at additional times to open the office to interested individuals and groups.  Please don't hesitate to call & check for extended open hours or to schedule a time to access the office and view additional display materials or reference materials.

A display area

With maps, photos, learning tools, Scottish organizations' information, ongoing local event information, and lots of other items of Scottish, Scots-Irish, and Scottish-American interest for your learning and enjoyment...  During hours when the office is staffed and open, additional items, such as historic weaponry replicas and historic highland dress examples, will also be on display.  This area is open to self-guided visitation during the office hours above, but also daily during building hours from 9AM to 8PM weekdays, and 9AM to 6PM weekends.  (On weeknights and weekends, it may be necessary to flip on a few light switches to approach and visit the display area, if staff are not present.)

It should be noted that the Scottish American Center is not handicapped accessible.
We are not satisfied with that, and one of our goals is to remedy this limitation in the nearest possible future.
