The SCOTTISH AMERICAN CENTER is in the "151 Building" on the east side of Silver Lake Road 4 blocks south of
highway 694. Enter the building through the center entrance, then turn immediately to your left to get
to the stairs going down to the basement level. We are located in that lower level and all the way to
the back in the southeast (right/rear) corner of the building. Just follow the signs in the hall.
The office contains lots of useful stuff - like our staff members, who are eager to help you get the information
you're looking for or answer questions you may have - or to explain or expand upon the materials in the nearby
display area. Alternatively, you can just browse on your own if you prefer, and we'll just be ready to
provide input when you request it. (Note: The fabric behind the desk and on it's front is MacDonald
tartan.)

This is another office photo - we have plenty of maps of various types in the office and in the display
area. From large and detailed Scotland maps, to clan territories of various eras, to castles'
locations, and more.
These are just some of the many references we have available to you in our office. Books about
Scottish, Scots-Irish, Scottish-American history, culture, photography, and more are all here for your browsing
and reference pleasure. We also have a limited selection of audio tapes, CD's, and VHS/DVD's that
continues to grow. In addition, we have magazines/periodicals such as Scotland, Highlander, Scottish
Field, Scottish Life, Celtic Heritage, and so on - as well as a collection of Scottish organization and clan
newsletters.
